Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has admitted he is not in a rush to sign a new contract but insists he will definitely retire from the club.

The 39-year-old midfielder is out of contract at Real Madrid this season but both parties are open to extending his deal as the veteran remains in top shape and has made 45 appearances in all competitions this season.

When asked about the สนใจสมัคร? คลิกที่นี่เพื่อเริ่มต้น new contract, Modric, who is currently in the Croatian national team camp ahead of their second match of the UEFA Nations League quarter-finals against France, was clear that he is still calm because there is still a lot of time.

“A new contract with Real Madrid? No rush. The season is long, we have a lot of games to play. Let’s see.”

“My dream is clear: to retire at Real Madrid,” said Modric, who has been with Los Blancos since 2012.

This season, he is looking to add to his long list of Champions League titles, having helped Real past their city rivals Atletico Madrid in the round of 16. 

Next up for Carlo Ancelotti’s side is an intriguing quarter-final against Arsenal – with the two legs to be staged over the first two weeks of April. 

Domestically, Real face a battle to win La Liga with only four points separating themselves, Atletico and Barcelona in what is shaping up to be an intriguing title race.
